Dont knock it man...I was brought up to not use anything but REAL maple syrup or sweetened applesauce

I was raised on Aunt Jemima and Mrs. Butterworth. I honestly can't taste the difference between fake syrup and real maple syrup. There's a heck of a price difference though.

Weird...we always had box mix with milk instead of water for extra fluffiness and syrup or applesauce...sometimes it was local honey or molasses if we went to the farmers market

Back story on this, My FIL bought the college gameday package on LSPN many moons ago then found that due to territory restrictions we couldn't watch the UF game, He calls up and told them point blank that he doesn't want to see Slippery Rock vs Beaver Falls and cancels.
