I have a huge problem with that...Lol. And you have no problem with that?

Yeah, beating Kentucky, South Carolina, Vandy, Missouri and Arkansas (whoops) should be givens at UF. The pumpers celebrate like we've accomplished something special beating the patsies of the league. This whole "Wins the Games He is Supposed to" theory is such a pile of shyt. This year he will be underdog to 5 or 6 teams. He will be underdog because the people who know this stuff discount his coaching ability and his roster.
Would Spurrier or Creyer be "Supposed to Win" 6 or 7 games? Of course not.
Who is arguing that? I said as a coach, I have little problems with him. As a recruiter (which is just as much if not more important), he is beyond horrible. He doesn't get a pass for losing games because he failed to put together a talented team. This whole "Wins the Games He is Supposed to" theory is such a pile of shyt. I would think they probably don't use the most recent class because the majority of true freshman won't play.
This post deserves to be stickied. This is the most organic question along with gator studs post that has been posited in along time on here. Who Dafuq are we? Pumpers and negators alike need to ask themselves this when assessing this current regime. It was just mentioned but was a great point and deserves repeating. Who are the Gators? Really, who are we? No one can answer this question. We don't have any positive defining characteristics that can be used to describe us. Under this staff, this team has no identity.
I'm just going to take this one step further. Forget %'s and just look at how many BC's are in each class.

We are sitting at 45 BC's. Meyer won with 55 but that was Meyer. NC level is probably at least 60. The news is not good. It will take at least two more years to get to that level. The even worse news is that to beat Bama in the SECCG we need to be at that level.
I'll check back in 2019.
Edit: Just a note: 44 BC's puts you 2 deep at every position where as 66 puts you at 3 deep. It seems that 3 deep is what wins championships.
That doesn't hold water. It's all about the Jessie's and Joe's and they have to be 4*s.Yes, but didn't you know that our coaches are the best talent evaluator's in all of college football? So, if we sign a 2-star LB from Miami....that's like Meyer getting a 4-star from anywhere else. Also, our 3-star's are all 4-star athlete's (at a minimum). At least this is what I've heard from the "trust the coaches" crowd....

You'd have to take that up with them.I agree....but the thing is, they ARE 4-stars. Didn't you read what I wrote? For some reason, there's a large contingent that seems to think our 3-stars are actually 4-stars....because - apparently - McElwain and his staff have an "eye for talent" that other coaches don't have......
You'd have to take that up with them.

Where are these blue chipper numbers coming from? According to this composite index we only had 24 composite blue chippers on our roster last season it appears while Bama had 61 composite blue chippers. Do we have a bunch of guys that were 3 stars in one service and 4 stars in another service?

I do think they are probably the best one overall but I assume if a player is a 4 star Rivals recruit and only a 3 star composite they are usually a lower number on that Rivals 4 star scale. There were like 6 or 7 SEC teams with more blue chipper composites than us last season.

The bottom line is that we ain't gonna have the talent for at least 2 years. The depth just isn't there.
