So sick of our fans on this board that call for Butch to be fired, after he ended the steak against UF, beat UGA AGAIN, had A&M beat, and after severe injuries to the team facing bama, got smoked. This team played like a team beat down tonight. Plain and simple. I've been on this side of a game in college and these kids feel sick. No, TN has 3 conference losses and we have 1. If we get beat by ARK but win the other 2 conference games we would finish ahead of UT. Like FireFoley mentioned earlier in this post, we just need to win any 2 of our next 3 conference games and we clinch. The ARK game is crucial, though, because beating LSU will not be an easy task.

But it sets up perfectly. As you say, if we can win Saturday, we can come home and clinch the East against Muschamp.

The other part of that is that it would basically render the Lsu game meaningless. So after all the whining and conspiracy theories from Alleva, it would literally just be a contest that doesn't impact us one bit, and actually only hurts them as they now have to play UF and A&M within 5 days of each other. Awesome.

I had a thought last night that the last time it happened was the day we beat LSU in '12. That day, FSU lost to NCSU, Miami lost to ND, UGA lost to South Carolina, but UT was idle. So I was close.

Edit: However, UT's bye week that week came in the middle of a four game losing streak, so it counts, right?
