Just a few weeks ago someone was waiting on a score or something though we heard he was likely to qualify. I don't recall that ever coming in.

EDIT: Ohhh.... Lemons?

Dead Period Shortened in August
NCAA alters rules on hosting recruits for campus visits in August.

https://florida.247sports.com/Article/Dead-Period-Shortened-in-August-105717160

The NCAA made the entire month of August a dead period, meaning no face-t0-face contact between coaches and recruits. The new rule meant teams could not host recruits for weekend scrimmages in fall camp, which was a common practice in previous years.

On Wednesday, it appears the NCAA granted a waiver to shorten the dead period. Instead of the final day of the dead period being August 31, it now looks as if the final day will be August 23. That will give an extra eight days to host recruits on campus for fall practices.

The reason for the change centered around a handful of teams hosting games on Saturday, August 26 as well as Thursday, August 31, which would have fallen in the previous dead period and not allowed those schools to host recruits at those contests.

Heads up, some new NCAA rules regarding the month of August. Can't wait to see you at our first home game in #TheSwamp #AllBite18 #GATA19 pic.twitter.com/BcFVr4n9WW

Yes, I very specifically remember the pic of his dorm room he posted on twitter. Reminded me of my old Navy barracks with the white painted cinder block walls...

So I'm guessing Robinson won't be with the team this fall, since fall practice has begun?

Meanwhile:

Tennessee:
After landing 3-star LB Matthew Flint earlier on Wednesday, the Tennessee Volunteers stayed hot on the recruiting trails on Wednesday night.

Trey Dean, a 4-star safety from Georgia, announced his commitment to the Vols, becoming the 20th player in Tennessee’s 2018 class.

Dean, a 6-2, 180-pound defender, tweeted about his decision to head to Knoxville next fall:

According to the 247Sports composite, Dean is the No. 22 safety in the class of 2018 and the No. 30 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.

Arkansas:
The Arkansas Razorbacks dipped into Texas to add another piece to their 2018 recruiting class on Wednesday night.

The Hogs landed a commitment from 3-star athlete Maureese Wren, who also had offers from Mizzou, Baylor, Colorado and Illinois, among others.

Wren, who plays both wide receiver and outside linebacker, announced his decision via Twitter:

According to the 247Sports composite, Wren is the No. 58 athlete in the class of 2018 and the No. 100 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

Arkansas now has 12 commits in its 2018 class, which currently ranks No. 11 in the SEC and No. 45 nationally (per 247Sports).

LSU:
Though the start of the 2017 season is only a month away, the LSU Tigers apparently weren’t quite done with this year’s recruiting class.

On Wednesday evening, the Tigers landed a commitment from a player with a very familiar last name.

According to his Twitter account, 3-star WR Justin Jefferson — brother of former LSU QB Jordan Jefferson and ex-LSU DB Rickey Jefferson — has committed to LSU:

According to the 247Sports composite, Jefferson is the No. 308 wide receiver in the class of 2017 and the No. 76 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.

Rickey signed with the Oakland Raiders after he went unselected in the 2017 NFL Draft. Now Justin will try to follow in his brothers’ footsteps, albeit at a different position than either Rickey or Jordan.
