A bit off-topic, but I once had an ex-girlfriend threaten to stab me in the neck with a screwdriver. We were breaking up, and she was trying to take apart a wine rack in my house that she’d bought for me and felt she should get back, thus the screwdriver in hand. I felt it may be best if she left and told her to get out. But technically she lived there so I had a bit of a problem and had to get creative. A few minutes later she’s on her phone in another room railing into me to her sister. So I stepped in and asked her to tell her sister what she’d said to prompt me kicking her out, and she proudly repeated the threat, which I was secretly recording with my new, ahead of its time, Motorola Razr.

When I once again asked her to leave, she called the police. Just before they showed up, I played the recording for her, which I’d also texted to a friend as backup. Stunned at the predicament she’d now put herself in, she politely apologized to the cops, admitting I’d done nothing to warrant the call and said she’d decided to leave on her own. It’s really too bad. She was a nice girl.

I had a run of some serious self inflicted (but hot)disasters, but yeah most are centered around this one. Basically Ginger from Casino to a t. From the coke to the temper to the obsession with Pucci.
