Allow me to bring up OSU QB Toy Smith ... Zaire could be a version of him, except Smith was the star QB for Ohio State and Heisman winner, yet he flopped vs SEC competition. Are sum you saying Zaire is better than Troy Smith, as he couldn't wrap up the starter's job at ND. Just something to wait to see?

I'm not so sure Rog. If MZ can have a good SEC line blocking for him it could be possible. Imagine what Smith could have done with that '06 OLine. And most of all he had that crazy Gator D killing him all night. I went back and watched some tape on MZ. Albeit, he was in mop up duty in most of it, he has a huge upside. Needs a little work on his passing. But at this point I would have no problem starting him. Hardbalz and Meatchicken would have fits trying to contain him.
