UF Announces Dan Mullen as HC $36 Million over 6 Years

I know this will not be popular with all of the negativity going on here, but I will stick with Florida! I will NEVER say "I'm done" like I've read from many on here. Mullen was not my first or second choice, but I'm willing to give him a chance and all my support! I'm Gator through and through and would never wish ill on my team. We have no idea what has gone on behind the scene in this coaching search. Who can say Mullen is not a big upgrade from Mac?

I think Mullen has done a great job bringing Miss State up from the dungeon of the west. Can you imagine recruiting guys to Starkville? We said about other coaches, "He will do great recruiting in fertile grounds of Florida", why can't Mullen. Give him a chance. Can you give a reason why not? I'm so sick of fair weather fans! I do hope you're done with Florida now. We might let you jump back on the bandwagon when we are winning.

We won’t be winning with Mullen. Unless you consider 8-4 winning. I admit he’s an upgrade over Mac (who wouldn’t be?) but it’s just like when Foley hired Zook...panic mode. At least Foley didn’t make Zook one of the highest paid coaches in the country. Stricklin will likely be looking for a job about 2-3 weeks before Mullen is doing the same in 2021.

You dont get it. People on this board really care. They want nothing more then success. If you cared as much then you would be spending as much time as us, communicating, voicing opinions doing good research and listening. This hire was 3rd choice. It smells an aweful lot like panic. Especially for 7 million dollars. Good CEOs are usually more careful then spending that kind of money on a head coach with a record of mediocrity. Just sayin...

There's not a single name that has been mentioned that I wouldn't take before Mullen. Not only do I think he's a bad coach, I hate the mutherfuker and will not support him or Striklin. Any of you guys with Twitter get on their and make it perfectly clear we do not and will not support this hire. I am all for being embarrassed on missing on this hire.

If Stricklin seriously does this I will support and contribute to a boycott campaign.

This is another "path of least resistance" hire; the easy way out. With this hire, Stricklin shows that he is incapable of landing the big one or of thinking outside the box. Bringing in coach from his former school. How imaginative.
