Another SEC East CHAMPIONSHIP obviously warrants a season ticket price hike!!!

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- If you were hoping to get season tickets in 2017 for one of the best Florida home schedules ever, you'll have to cough up a little more dough.

The University Athletic Association announced a hike to football season ticket prices on Wednesday, raising them about 15 percent. Season tickets will now cost $380, a jump from $330. Contribution levels required to purchase season tickets remained the same for the fourth straight year.

The UAA sells 47,800 tickets annually, meaning the $50 increase in season ticket prices will add $2.39 million to the athletic department's bottom line.

Florida's home schedule in 2017 includes seven games thanks to the SEC opting to make LSU travel to Gainesville as part of the decision to play the 2016 game in Baton Rouge due to Hurricane Matthew.

The Gators will host Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida State, Vanderbilt, UAB and Northern Colorado.

In a press release, Florida provided the following information on season ticket prices around the SEC and at Florida State.

Texas A&M - $490 + Donation ($25 - $2,500)
Auburn - $475 + Donation ($140 - $3,000)
Alabama - $435 + Donation ($50 - $2,200)
LSU - $425 + Donation ($210 - $1,025)
Tennessee - $420/$441 + Donation ($100 - $2,479)
Ole Miss - $400 + Donation ($50 - $1,800)
Florida - $380 + Donation ($150 - $2,550)
Missouri - $379 + Donation ($50 - $500)
South Carolina - $365 + Donation ($50 - $395)
Mississippi State - $340 + Donation ($75 - $2,500)
FSU - $290 - $340 + Donation ($35 - $500)
Georgia - $255 + Donation ($250 - $2,250)
Arkansas - $250/$300/$360 + Donation ($50 - $10,000)
Vanderbilt - $250 + Donation ($50 - $1,300)
Kentucky - $210/$280/$320 + Donation ($70 - $2,500)

You have to love it. The end result of getting to the SECCG b/c the East sucked Donkey Balls, gives them the thought that they can pull the rug over the fan's eyes. Well I will do as I always do. Since the product on the field was far below average, I will buy outside stadium on game day. ThIs past season I never paid more than 10 bucks

You guys are funny. Really, the cost of season ticket is dirt cheap. If they raised booster fees it might be more of an issue, but I guess haters gonna hate....

Hopefully this funds better facilities, coaches, etc. But I see more empty seats in that stadium.....

I can't get excited about this. Look at the numbers. We're still relatively cheap.

There I see it is that 380/330 = 1.1515 and 7/6 is 1.1667 so the growth in season tickets price was slightly less than the growth in home games. Of course maybe there was not a refund for the missing game this year?

I guess that 114th ranked offense and our stellar incoming recruiting class warrants this increase :rolleyes3: I wasn't renewing mine either way because it's pretty easy/cheaper to just get some outside the stadium nowadays since it's half empty most of the time.

ya'll are hilarious. you want the UAA to spend more money on the football program, but begrudge them a surefire way to increase the money they bring in.

3 years ago the SEC Network didn't exist and the share of conference revenue has more than doubled. I agree, we need to invest in the program....but it seems when the demand is NOT there (i.e. see the empty seats at BHG) that is NOT the time to raise prices. But I hope your economics/MBA/marketing degree are doing well for you. I don't remember a professor teaching me to raise prices when the demand is low.

Isn't that a result of an extra home game because of the LSU reschedule?
