What team has NC's in all these sports? Note Wikipedia already updated.

I know for the big three mens sports there are only a hand full that have them, and most are from some time ago.

Comment as you desire, but I think program (overall) is a great testament to our programs motto.

A championship experience with integrity.

Well if we can win another in baseball, we would probably be the only school with multiple titles in the three major sports.

Cal, Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Stanford, and UCLA are the only schools to win in all 3 major sports. If we repeat we will be the only team to win multiple championships in Baseball and Basketball

Wrong.

Alabama has national titles in ALL sports they participate in. In fact, they have MULTIPLE national titles in ALL of the sports they participate in. I heard they are actually claiming this year's baseball title too.... True story, bro!

Correct. Gators now have 39 national championships to Bama's 150 (maybe more)

Last night ESPN listed Michigan, Ohio State, and UCLA as the only schools with national championships in the big 3 sports. Through my own research (which I admit may not be completely accurate), I couldn't find when Cal or Stanford did it. And even UCLA's claim is tenuous: they won their only football title by some coaches' poll in the '30s. Ohio State's last basketball title came in the '60s and Michigan last won baseball in the '60s as well. We are clearly the dominant athletic program of the last 30+ years.

Wikipedia says LSU has won 47 national championships 5th most in college sports history. LSA has also won 6 baseball NCAA titles. That was an eye opener.

Wikipedia also says Alabama has won 26 national championships with an amazing 16 coming in football. :eek3: Florida now has 39 but seems like it should be more.

Volleyball has come real close several times but never got over the hump.

LAX is strong, considering they are of fairly recent vintage. They won the Big East last year.

All of our programs are strong.

Really, our only gaping hole has been women's basketball. They've never been really good and are usually below average.

What surprised me on this list was that we didn't have titles in Women's volleyball or men's tennis

We've had single's national titles in mens tennis...or at least one when I was in school, Jeff Morrison.

I found the Tennis thing surprising, highest finishes tied for 3rd twice (2000, 2005)

Definately fishy having UCLA and Stanford on this list.
I'm gonna guess your being sarcastic but I'll give you the info anyway. Stanford Baseball (1987, 1988), Basketball (1942), Football (1926, 1940) UCLA Baseball (2013), Basketball (to many to list out), Football (1954)

A little sarcastic. I am not saying the titles of Stanford and UCLA from 60 to 80 years ago are irrelevant but there should be statistics for the modern era of college sports because counting NCAA NC's from the 20's to 50's is dubious. PAC 10 must have racked up a lot of NC's from the 1920's to the 1950's. ;) The main things the Florida Gators have made great history. Rare history. Full credit to Gator sports.

I get you're point but you can't take away what they were able to accomplish that's all I'm saying. And I'm very proud of what we have been able to do in the past 30 years in sports. We have one of the best programs in college athletics and I hope we only get better.
