You realize I am just having some fun pulling chains mostly. High expectations are/can be a good thing. With children you don't want to make generalizations and expect less. Even the seemingly slow ones can achieve greatly. Like last years BB team. Not an nba player in sight but only the national champs and another final four beat them, NOBODY else. This proves the old adage together we stand divided we fall. This is what is disheartening about America today. Seems so divided regarding so many issues. We better find some common ground or one of these "conflicts" around the world is gonna do us all in. Or quite possibly unite us. Who knows. What was the question again? ;)

I'm going to blame Ox. If he had started Gatorchatter earlier instead of staying on as mod for GSMB we could have been much better off. This forum is clearly superior and will be listed as part of the reason the Gators will turn things around for an unprecendented run of success!
Now THIS is a damn good post. It would have been interesting to see that if I had started my own board while the GSMB was still up and running (something that never crossed my mind), if I could have pulled this off. A lot of people were unhappy, that's for sure.

You once called my board a "septic circle jerk". I never got a formal apology.

At the time it was my perception. But you have to admit it was a great line. I also thanked you once for this forum and bringing back the Political forum. Much needed. You cannot help that a bunch of young (and maybe few old )dumazzes show up here and lower the collective IQ. But free speech and all that is fine. My motto is "if you want to trash my team and all that goes with it prepare for a little back lash." I apologize for bad mouthing 'your' forum. But I look at it as 'our' forum sort of like how we are all "gators".

I just realized where you sort of got this first line...........
Mr. Potter: [to George Bailey] Look at you. You used to be so cocky. You were going to go out and conquer the world. You once called me a warped, frustrated, old man! What are you but a warped, frustrated young man? A miserable little clerk crawling in here on your hands and knees and begging for help
A favorite of mine but many of your boys would call Capra a socialist............

Would it offend you if I said I don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about?

With Jabbar Gaffney, Reche Caldwell, and Taylor Jacobs catching the ball, and with SOS calling the plays, we beat Miami despite their dazzling array of talent
No. Much like our 08 team and the 95 Nebraska team, that Miami team wasn't going to lose. Not that we didn't have a nice team that year, certainly one of the best 3 or 4, we were not going to beat them.....end of story.

The blame game, plenty to go around. Most of the names mentioned have contributed to our recent fall in to the abyss. Maybe a fairer question is what percentage of the blame to give to all the contributors. Meyer 20% for his quit/no quit-leaving "a broken team". Foley 40% for hiring the dawg, and refusing to fire him after (during) the 2013 season, the dawg 30% for his stubborn stupid philosophy and shoulder ( he never rose high enough to be worthy of the head designation, maybe it should be midline...) coach decisions. The rest can be spread out among the minor players of this saga.

Anybody blame some of the kids that decided not be Gators? If we would of landed some of those kids we would have a lot more talent on the team... not that dawgchamp would of developed them or even let them on the field until the older players were gone.

Blame kids for not wanting to play for WM? Can you?

Of course not. The truth is if my kid were a big time offensive player I would have sent him somewhere else.

This board seriously needs some type of way of designating sarcasm in a post. I don't blame one single young man for opting to play elsewhere, And I consider it ridiculous to even consider that by someone not signing with us that it caused us to be where we are. There is a ton of talent for dozens of the top colleges, it is up to the coaches to develop those that sign. We sorely lacked in that phase of the process.
