As BMF said, he’s playing about as much as any true freshman could expect in this league. He will have more chance to shine next season.
As for the transfer concern, he’s typically the first guy down on kickoff returns, which is not indicative of someone sulking or even remotely upset. I also believe it was him that was directing the O&B chant from the sidelines Saturday. And he’s usually been right up front for Mullen’s locker room speeches. So I’d say he’s having a blast right now.
And as much as I’ve not been a huge fan of his, games like Saturday are the reason Scarlett is the feature. He was an absolute beast, in terms of running hard, picking up blitzes and holding onto the ball against a great defense. So it’s not as if Pierce is sitting behind a scrub or fellow underclassman.
