Well at least the guy before the last guy knew a couple of things the last 2 don't....
1. Stars do matter, especially on offense

Except he didn't recruit size on the O-line or running back. Something even you and Bert know you need in the SEC.

2. Don't run off the talent for spiking their protein drink
Everything else is relevant if your winning championships and beating your rivals like a baby seal....

I just don't get all these people and their praise for the guy....I mean there's film on him now and everybody knows he only had 5 good quarters in him from the beginning....He's nothing with out all the HGH, Anadrol and Dianabol that he was taking either. I mean for Christ sake some people have him listed as a Heisman candidate and others are saying he's good enough to be "one and done" in WV....I'm with McMacheisal on this one...He couldn't hold LDR's jock strap.....

It's not about being "good enough" for a one and done, it's about not being committed to staying with your team, though not wanting to stay in Morganhole is understandable IMO.

Crete what do you think their regular season record will be with Grier? Better than the 10-2 last season?

I saw a few highlights from that game. Grier does get rid of the ball quick in that offense and was usually pretty accurate but the defense was pretty bad it appeared. It will probably be typical recent WVU/Big 12 games so he will have a bunch of yards. I doubt they purposely run Grier much like they did their QB some last year.
The rest of that conferences defenses don't really get much better though

depends on if he is actually allowed to play the first 6 games.... lets not forget the NCAA hasn't ruled yet. And if they do lift the suspension, UF should sue.

Well, I only see THREE TDs (2 running 1 passing) on those stats. So maybe the 44 points come from some other scheme? 3 points for a 3 and out, 2 points for a punt or whatever.

There sure as hell weren't that many TDs scored.
They played offense vs. defense. The defense is apparently awarded 3 points for a stop, 5 for a 3 and out and 6 for a fumble recovery. The write-up said they actually inserted Geno Smith, who was wearing street clothes, in for a play and he completed a long touchdown which is where the 85-yard "team" touchdown comes from on the stats. I bet his remaining former teammates were glad to see him making a joke out of their spring game. They all hated the guy.

Doubt we would make any kind of a stink, Stricklin is just a Foley clone.

Well with Grier we were 6-0, we didn't get to see 12 games with him. That record would've likely been better. Saying that, doubt West Virginia's record is better, a lot of people on this board have been bashing their defense, and that year Grier played for us we had a great defense for him to fall back on.

No one else plays defense in that conference either. I think most early predictions have them behind OK and OK State in that conference but you never know I guess. I am not sure if TCU and Texas will rebound a lot or not. I would think Texas would improve this season.

Right now he surrounded by Foley's staff (part of the deal as I understood), lets see what happens as Foley's people slowly retire. At some point it will be time to put his stamp on it.
