And the athletic department is still in the black every year. Which one was his job?
Is it in the red now? The answer is no....and someone else is running it. So, as I previously stated - there are plenty of other ADs out there capable of doing what he did....and I imagine they wouldn't have blown up the football program too.
I don't get the Foley lovers. The football program is broken, busted, rock-bottomed out.......and it's literally his fault. There's no defending him because of the success of minor sports.
The ADs on the west coast have 10 or more sports than we do and they do just fine keeping their programs in the black. The ADs in the Big Ten do the same thing, and field men's hockey, men's soccer, wrestling, woman's field hockey, and many other sports the SEC schools don't field. (i.e. making the ADs job that much more difficult; budgeting, scheduling, hiring the right coaches, etc). But the Foley lovers want to put Foley on a pedestal because the program is in the black financially? I'd rather he go in debt for 5 to 10 years and "get into an arms race" (his words) than go 4-7 and fire our 2nd head football coach in 4 years.
Go ahead....defend that piece of sh*t! DO IT!!!!
