Hey, remember way back to November 21 when Lee was committed to LSU but was won over by UF?

Hate to be one of those guys but we got him because LSU basically pushed him out of the class, we didn't "take" him from LSU. Mullen has done an amazing job as a coach but let's be honest, on these toe to toe battles with the big dogs for kids they want, we usually lose. That has to change somewhat if we want to be in the playoffs. Not negative, just fact.

exactly, if we flipped lee and braun TODAY, it wouldve been monumental.....so ill take the "quiet" day

Again, Braun is an AWESOME get. But if UGA OL coach doesn't leave for Ark, he signs with UGA. We didn't really win either one of these "head to head" as it appears. The UGA win is a bit more of a win as UGA did want him before and after, but fact is without losing their OL coach, we still would have lost this local kid to UGA. I sound like Swamp Donkey lol. But I guess I'm tired of seeing local studs go elsewhere, we are good enough they should stay local. It will probably take a couple coaching changes, and the new facilities in place before we win some of these serious battles honestly

No doubt, Dan still has more of that hill to climb. We have to be more than a courtesy look for guys like Bowman. But I do think we lose sight of the ones we win, like Bogle last year. We aren't there, yet, clearly, but we are moving forward. This can't be the destination, for sure, but like the chart I shared yesterday, we are moving forward.

We're losing some of them, yes. But we're winning many more than we were just a few years back. Outside of a very late push for Perine where we fended them off, and Pinero, we practically blanked against teams like Alabama and uga. Just in recent years, we've landed Jones over fsu/OhSt, Copeland over Ala, Langham over Ala, Bogle over Ala, Zipperer over several big names, etc. And just because someone's not announcing today, but merely signing their NSD, doesn't mean we didn't win a battle. It just took place earlier.

On the Braun part, that's part of the deal. Ryan Shazier was a Gator until we had a coaching change. I doubt Osu cared one bit and it doesn't change the fact that they flipped him.

Exactly coaching changes happen, if we benefit... good for us.

Right, and Kaiir Elam was a HUGE battle with the Dwags before NSD last year. Big win for the Gators there and already a key piece.

Reports saying he will not sign today -- some are taking that as Florida's influence there, but who knows.
When did this happen? As of a few days ago, he was saying he was signing today with unc.

9:41 a.m.: Florida’s top-ranked cornerback prospect, Jahari Rogers, has sent in his signed letter of intent. The No. 120 overall prospect in the 2020 class by 247Sports, Rogers played quarterback early in his high school career and possesses natural ability to play at the next level.

Along with reloading at defensive back, the Gators have prioritized the interior of the defensive line in this recruiting class, and Lamar Goods’ signed letter of intent has to bring a smile to the faces of David Turner and Mullen.
