Williams will be visiting UGA on 1/31 UF on the 24th and Miami on the 17th...still don’t like that UGA is getting that final visit but we’ll see how it goes

Zach Goodall continues to write excellent stuff. It is a long article breaking down Josh Braun's game.

Five Play Prospect: Gators OL Joshua Braun Scouting Report

Here are some excerpts. It is too long to post here. Plus, he deserves the click.

A) For a high school prospect standing at 6-6, 350 lbs., facing defensive ends that are far smaller than what he'll face at the college level, Braun's initial pad level as a run blocker is impressive.

Braun maintains a low center of gravity while stepping forward and shooting his hands, keeping his shoulders beneath those of the defensive ends as he engages his block. He gets in a solid initial punch and extension, and resets his arms to get his hands inside the edge defender's chest.

B) I wanted to dive in on pass protection here, but Braun's film is primarily composed of run game tape - Suwannee ran the ball 394 times compared to only 141 pass attempts (and a mere 58 completions) in 2019, making the sample size too small to judge.

C) Obviously, the lack of pass protection might cause some discomfort with the idea of Joshua Braun playing early in his career at Florida, but that will come with development under Hevesy. His 45-degree set on the final clip provides a floor for pass sets.

As for now, Braun has run blocking techniques and mental processing in the run game down. and is ready to apply them immediately. That's why he enrolled early and began practicing with the team in December.

Here is the breakdown of Issiah Walker's game by Zach Goodall.

Five Play Prospect: Gators OL Issiah Walker Scouting Report

A) The 6-4, 299 lb. Miami-area prospect (Norland High School) has enrolled at Florida for the spring semester, like Braun, and will participate in spring camp. Walker is an athletic, versatile lineman who utilizes strong hands in pass protection.

While Braun profiles as a capable run blocker early in his career, Walker is a high-upside prospect who could use a year of development and technique refinement, eventually emerging at either tackle position.

B) Playing left tackle in the clip above, Walker keeps his feet active in his pass set to mirror the oncoming edge defender. While he doesn't win the pad level battle outright, he's about even with the edge rusher at the point of initial contact and keeps his hands in the defensive end's chest.

As Walker continues to gain depth in his set, he anchors to slow the rusher down. In doing so, Walker eventually capitalizes and swipes through the DE's arms. In return, after being stood up through Walker's anchor, the edge rusher stumbles and Walker finishes the rep.

Polished hand usage is crucial for playing offensive tackle in the SEC, and Walker knows that. He practices his swipes and chops with resistance bands.

I dont want to get my hopes up, but this is the most important guy on our board, IMO.

Edit: Meaning Van Tram or whatever his name is. The Center currently disassociating from Ugly.
"UGA OL commitment Sedrick Van Pran mentioned Florida, Alabama, and Arizona State are making the biggest push for January official visits. Said Oklahoma and Texas A&M are the schools making the biggest push in his recruitment, and that the status of his recruitment right now is that he is "comfortable" with Georgia."

Pouncy at 6.1, 157 is freaking malnourished..... doubt he ever sees the field.
