UGA stands out as a game we could have won but their crappy receivers had a field day on us - and just us. UVA’s QB looked fantastic against us - and just us.

Is it possible for those to be totally the faltering of our DBs? We'll be better back there ln 2020 ??

That makes two 5* HS recruits for 2020, with a shot at a third (Evans) per Rivals. Add Cox, Lingard and possibly Shorter (all 5*s) and two or three strong 4* types on NSD, and only the most inveterate whiny babies will have anything to piss and moan about. Of course that won't keep them from doing so, but I really don't GAF anymore.

We got some solid linebackers last class so I think we’re Ok on this class. Definitely need to pull in a couple elite kids next year.

I really like Wingo but I’d love for us to get a 230lb+ violent tackling machine.

The state has some really great safeties in the year after next class (2022). Not leading for them right now but there’s a lot of time to go.

Edit: I always forget Trevon grimes is a rivals 5 star, so that would be 6 on campus. Not bad not bad

He visits this weekend, hasn’t visited anywhere else. Penn State guy just put a crystal ball in for Florida. I’m just guessing but this weekend would be as good a time as any to do it

There is always room for improvement but, by any reasonable standard, DM is doing a helluva job any way you look at it. More LBs? Sure, why not? And a strong finish on NSD is still very much in order. But the days of having glaring holes in the roster, at numerous positions, are rapidly drawing to a close. We may not reach the stratosphere this go around, but the program arc is climbing at a rapidly accelerating rate and we owe it all to CDM. Go Gators!

Bingo. We need some ILB hauses in there, ala Siler, Spikes, Crowder, etc. Big dudes with nasty attitudes who love to hit. That's how we beat the dwags, the bammers and the corndogs.

The SEC is seeing more passing and more spread stuff, but the top teams are still the ones that run the ball with authority in between the tackles. If we want to beat those guys we have to stop those runs, and it's going to take beef at DT/NT and size/strength at inside backer positions as well.
