Significantly mixed feelings due to greatly mixed results.

1. I like what I'm seeing offensively, overall. But Trask is the foundation of the O and the
fewer planned runs he tries to execute the better. RBs show promise but need more reps.
2. To put it mildly, I am disgusted with TG and his verkakte D scheme in general and with
the safety play in particular. I'm talking catastrophic Achilles heel bad on both counts.
3. The kicking game is fine and the kick coverages have been pretty good as well.
4. I respect CDM and want him to succeed in a big way at UF. But the D is a real problem
against decent opposition. I truly hope it is addressed decisively - ASAP. Heads must roll.
5. Unless there is some unforeseeable cosmic event, we are looking at another good but not
great season. The defense required for something better just isn't there as of this writing.
6. If DM doesn't dump the trash after this season, it will be his own damned fault if he fails.

Yikes at this quote from a Gamecock board...

“Also, our university has paid this guy almost $20,000,000 to destroy our football program. I mean just think about that. Can you imagine in your personal life giving someone that much money or recieveing that much money to destroy what you have? INSANITY.“

That’s twice. So roughly 40mil for complete failure and destruction. Put this dbag in prison already.
They said he was an upgrade over the HBC. They deserve him.

Good to hear Chris Doering agree with me on lack of killer instinct.
He has never had it. In truth, he isnt much different than Chimp. No doubt a slightly better coach, far less of a recruiter, and, like Chimp, totally cool with losing occasionally.

Let's face it. We laugh at Chimp running out the clock as a sign of a loser but it is the EXACT SAME THING Mullinz did vs Uga.

The great ones are absolutely pissed when they lose and are nearly as mad when they play poorly in a win. SOS pressers were hilarious in a game like this.

Don't disagree, but on chimp running the clock out..... If that last pass is caught USCe has a chance for an onside kick and several shots at the end zone. Seemed as good a strategy as any, though there was no point at proceeding like molasses.

the point in Chimp and Mullinz proceeding like molasses when losing late by multiple scores was so the other team didn't have the time to score again themselves.

Moral victories, baby!!!

There are games cdm seems confident of what winning: UVA Ole Miss, USCe, that he seems to toy with-- early subs, weird play calling, etc. I much prefer a foot on the throat approach.

Trask can be rendered ineffective by the opponents TOP, keeping the ball out of Trask's hands. Our defense kept the ball out of Trask's hands. Across the board, we are yet to have a defensive standout. Dexter & Cox show promise early, but not consistent even against mediocre teams.
