Lets be honest, this Bucs team was one of the most talented teams in the league last year. If they didn't have rapist at QB last year and didn't give up 40+ turnovers at the QB position they were a playoff/deep run playoff team last year. Now Brady is obviously an all time great or the all time great depending on your opinion of the eras of football. But he walked away from a team that was losing talent due to salary cap hell, walking into one that is loaded that will hit that same hell in the next couple of years.

And his 2 year contract will be over then......... so?

Getting by GB at Lambeau in late January will be a tough task. Bucs D did a good job of keeping Brees down and the Bucs OL did a great job against that NO DL.

Go Bucs!!!

I agree they did a great job, but Brees also didn't look like Brees since he came back from injury. And right after the game he looked like a dude that had already mentally retired. I don't know if they truly got the Saints best shot, because Brees wasn't Brees.

Whatever. Devon White took over the game. Brees played like any QB who has their run game taken away and a LB that is on point. He had to force the ball a lot and he paid for it. Spin it how you want to spin it but I promise you Brees wasn't mentally retired. He is one of the greatest of all time and if you think he was checked out for in a do or die situation for his career going into the Div Championship you are clueless. TB defense played great and capitalized on it. Bucs OL had a great game against one of the best DL in the league. Period.

He's in the protocol but news out of Kansas City is saying it's a neck deal and not head which by replay would make sense.

I don't know enough to say one way or another, just what is being reported

What's your caller name on WDAE? Because I'm sure you are blasting their commenters as well for saying similar. No one is saying the defense didn't play well or the OL didn't play well. They did hold the Saints best play Kamara in check.

But to pretend like that was the same Drew Brees is smoking crack, but compared to the rest of your posts it's about average for you. When before breaking his ribs do you remember Brees not attempting a pass over 10 yards (even down the middle), hell even the commenters during the game mentioned it multiple times.

No one is saying the Bucs were not the better team Sunday, and that is part of playoff football is who is healthy.

NFL concussion protocol is weird. Basically even if it's not diagnosed as a concussion, any head or neck injury puts you into it.

Agreed, once you are in, you are in until the league says otherwise

Other posts? You mean the one where I called your dumb arse out for saying Trask has a weak arm and can't make the nfl throws? Yeah ... ok, you got me there.

I have broke several ribs before. Most painful thing I have ever experienced. Not the breaking part but the recovery part. With that said, some rib breaks aren't as bad as others while some will put you down for a while. Took me 6 weeks to get to somewhat normal for the rib I broke on the back side (4th down I believe) behind the clavicle. Took me 2 weeks to get to somewhat normal for the ribs I broke lower front. Thats me. I don't know about Drew, but I know he is tougher than me. I don't know what ribs he broke either.

With all that said, I didn't see Drew get knocked around too much. What I saw was no running game and no open receivers. He forced it and he paid for it. I will concede had he been a bit more mobile he probably could have made things different but I doubt it.

I don't follow the NFL anymore but I was interested in the Old Folks Bowl Sunday. I watched some hi-lites and that didn't look like the Brees of yesteryear. He seemed like he was floating the ball and not driving his throws down field. The so called experts said he can no longer hit the out move and the Buc's didn't fear getting beat long. Next week will be different with Rogers ability to make all the throws. Anything can happen in a one game tournament, hope the Buc's can come up with another big game.

Tom Brady must be a super head-coach? At whatever level I'd love to follow his W-L record in HS, CFB. not interested in the NFL game.

Thank goodness you had no issue with it, otherwise the team would have likely just scuttled the season.

I'm a big Douglas fan. I'm sure he's a terrific person. But Eagles fans get so much heat for the way we treat rivals, namely Cowboys fans. After reading this thread and seeing this display from him, honestly, can you really blame us?
