If we could just hold Tampa to Jax, we can be a top 3-5 team.
During the mid 90s through the mid-late 00s UF had a major presence in northeast Florida. In fact, UF and FSU dominated the area. So much so that my classmate, Dee Webb, who played CB here actually chose UF over Miami. He was a huge Hurricanes fan growing up. But Florida coaches spent so much time at our school it almost seemed like that was their second home. Hell, Zook even hired our coach, Dan Disch.
It started to go downhill with Muschamp. He neglected those relationships in a major way. And none of the coaches after him seem to give a damn about that area either. We need a coach that understands the Florida landscape. A lot of coaches only think of south Florida when they think of the state. North Florida becomes an afterthought.
