This Jules disaster from USF was a terible hire. He was brought in specifically because we couldn't land any of the rumored all stars we were going to hire. He was the 6th ranked recruiter on USF. That is far from a "recruiting guru". He will be returning to directional school land.

I can understand why Torrian left. If you are a great recruiter, why would you want to be saddled with this regime's Mulleness.

Why do people think Gray was a great recruiter? He was ranked 80'somthing (<-wrong). He wasn't that great. And how did we 'handle' him? He got fired for a stupid recruiting violation.

EDIT: 2020=27th 2021=145th 2022=45th so far. He wasn't GREAT by any means while at UF.

Even you should figure out that douchebag was the one that got the show calls order and not anyone else.

But gray's secondary wasn't schit at any of his previous stops including an earlier stop at UF. I have a hard time believing a coach with a good record for well over a decade as a secondary coach forgets everything for one year. I don't know how well he recruits, but he is a coach with too much history and dudes in the league to say he just suddenly started sucking at coaching.

I’m not saying Mullen can ever be elite. I just don’t think he’s that bad. He’s probably in the top 10% of coaches.

He’s just not a top two percentage. Will never be hey Sabin or Meyer.

But there’s not many of them. Nobody expected Ogre to win a national championship. Nobody expected Dabo to win anything. Nobody expected Jimbo to win anything. Neither of those guys are walking in here.

The reason we landed Gray is because he was fired by the Redskins. I wouldn't say he's considered a "great" coach, more like a "veteran" coach.

Here's some irony.....we hire the ENTIRE coaching staff from Miss State three plus years ago and Diwan Black is the only true Mississippi kid we've signed out of the state since this staff has been here (and he later transferred to a Florida HS)...meanwhile, over in Tallahassee they pull a DT & Safety transfer from Miss State - Fabian Lovett & Jarrian Jones - a 4-star out of HS, Lovett will likely be a starter this year - and now they get a 4-star DL out of the state:

I think you're both missing the bigger point here. At the absolute earliest, that pic is from 2011, and it's quite possible that it's from as recent as 2013. In just a span of 6-8 years, this guy went from looking like that, to looking like this(below). It's such a powerful lesson that you just can't center your life around Newports, airport/rest stop strip clubs, and Canadian Club neat. It doesn't matter how much Drakar you douse on yourself, or how much you press your pleated pants or shine those weaved, tassel loafers. The damage is being done and it will rear its ugly head sooner rather than later. They don't put this disclaimer on those quarter machines in the bathrooms, but it's a death wish waiting to happen, regardless of whether it's a traditional condom, some sort of weird sex toy or a quick spritz of Aqua Di Gio. People should think twice before they do it, and remember this face. If you teach your children nothing else, dammit, please teach them this.
