I tend to agree with J. As I've said countless times, there is simply no excuse for not winning 10+ games here. So I will approach every season that way, and be surprised and pissed if we don't.

I defy you to find a worse series of picks, trades, and signings than Philly since the 2020 draft. There isn't a single thing they've done that seems like it was more than just an impulsive move or impulsive attempt to unwind the previous impulsive move.

They're not totally wrong from a booster standpoint, which is why 8-4 Mullen is not the same as 8-4 Zook or WM. I don't entirely share their viewpoint, but it's reality. If we are 8-4 that means we obviously lost to the best 3 teams(uga, Lsu, Ala), plus another from among ut, Uk, Mizz, Usce, fsu or Usf, that we have no business losing to. It will also mean that either his offense--which he finally has, and is not ultra popular with many--didn't perform, or that the defense with his handpicked and recently retained DC who is also not popular, didn't perform. Neither of those bode well for him.

I agree that EJ (or AR if EJ is hurt) will be fine. The constraints will continue to be the playcalling not the talent.

Agree also that 9-3 is likely. It is just beating the teams with better rosters. 85% of all college coaches do that. And in a year or two Clown Town and others will be on the "better roster" list as our recruiting continues to circle the toilet.

I do have trouble imagining losing to the SEC East teams though. 9-3 and going 0-3 vs any team with a pulse shouldn't be a career enhancing thing at UF.

Your belief that the admin tolerates mediocrity, while true, won't matter. Fooley didn't want to fire Zook or Chimp either. 1-3 vs Ugly will light the bonfire and 1-4 will seal the fate. Soon we will be chanting FIRE MULLEN from the stands.

Emory could be a top 10 quarterback (has the talent to do so), and still be a 8-4 team. The problem people have isn't that Emory isn't talented, it's that his potential is probably going to be wasted running this version of the offense. Emory has done everything right, and deserve ever bit of success that he earns.

Dan's version of what the offense is going to be is the exact reason he will be a top 10 QB....people will only hate Dan more for making it work "again". Being a stubborn moron like Frost who never adapts their skill players to a scheme is a problem, one we thankfully don't have.

Was it Mullen running a quarterback lead option with Trask that showed you how well he adapts to his players? I know you love some Mullen (you can wipe your chin at anytime)... but the this take is just completely bonkers. Mullen is a solid coach, but that he adapts to his players... please tell me you didn't say that with a straight face.

I too believe EJ will make UF proud. He's more of dual skills than any QB that we've ever had. Plus he, with his Offensive weapon teammates, will improve with experience together. I'm telling myself a good Gator season is right around the Corona. ... drink it up.
