Even if this Gator team goes 7-5 as I predict, they will not fire Mullen. Get that possibility out of your head. Why do you think he was hellbent on keeping Grantham? Now he can just fire him and buy another year.

This is not your father’s administration. These guys could not possibly care less whether or not UF wins titles.

Looks like I was optimistic on the 7-5 part.

They're not totally wrong from a booster standpoint, which is why 8-4 Mullen is not the same as 8-4 Zook or WM. I don't entirely share their viewpoint, but it's reality. If we are 8-4 that means we obviously lost to the best 3 teams(uga, Lsu, Ala), plus another from among ut, Uk, Mizz, Usce, fsu or Usf, that we have no business losing to. It will also mean that either his offense--which he finally has, and is not ultra popular with many--didn't perform, or that the defense with his handpicked and recently retained DC who is also not popular, didn't perform. Neither of those bode well for him.

I expect a 2 loss season with no SEC Championship game appearance. Anything more than that is gravy, and anything less should be a reason we are looking for other leadership. So far this staff's best performance was 2019... which they squandered in Jacksonville.
