Some good ones already mentioned. I always liked Uneasy Rider by the CDB…

@CDGator One time on the old Flip Wilson Show, comedian Jonathan Winters was the guest and he and Flip acted out A Boy Named Sue. It was hilarious!

Good timing... I just heard David Allan Coe's 'The Ride' yesterday. Got the goose bumps:
"You don't have to call me Mister, Mr.... the whole world called me Hank"

Speaking of DAC -

Well, I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison

And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck

She got run ned over by a damned old train

Probably the best song in Country music, next to 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry'.

My Dad took me to see the Possum in Tallahassee right after that song made it big...
Funny thing though, George didn't like the song initially. He thought it was too 'morose'.

He actually opened up for Hank Jr., who blew us away by jumping around to a large assortment of instruments on stage and rocking out.

She's one of the few that can write a song as well as she can sing one.

'My Tennessee Mountain Home' and 'In the Good Old Days, When Times Were Bad' are two of her more autobiographical songs.
Had a huge crush on her in the 70's.

My aunt and grandmother both got to know Dolly (i never got to meet her).. but both my parents have. When Dolly did her Kennedy Center Honors, my aunt (UF grad in theater) is the one who designed the stage and directed her portion.
