Like I said, he supposedly punched Dabo for changing his plays. Does that sound like guy who will completely give up play calling? Maybe Co-OC/QB Coach?

Well, if that was his audition to the fan base, I suspect many will be underwhelmed. Because that game blew no matter what level. A supposedly well organized and coached 10-1 team playing a less talented 4-7 team coached by an also ran, that can't close it out until the weaker team misses an onside kick at the end of the game? Color me unimpressed!

Perhaps the staff and players have been distracted by..... inevitability.

As a general rule, guys with a background as offensive coordinator tend not to give up the reigns easily. Napier had Rob Sale, who worked under him at Arizona State and was a fellow analyst at Alabama, follow him to Louisiana as OC. Sale left for the NFL Giants after three seasons and now Louisiana employs a pair of co-offensive coordinators.

Make of it what you will.

One of the bigger rubs on Napier is his teams having a tendency to play down to the competition. Does that sound like anyone you know of?
