"One thing Collins would change about recent Gators' defense is the penchant for individual celebrations. The "Minister of Mayhem" expects his players to have plenty to celebrate, too. He just wants them to do it his way."
I like that, and maybe he can get them to quit talking so much. I thought it was sad that UF players would continue to talk trash even when they were losing games. I think it's crass to talk a lot, but if you're going to do it, at least be a good team. Players like Dante Fowler are, individually, good enough to talk, but if the team is getting whipped, it just looks ridiculous.
I think we'll get a clue on whether the team has a new attitude when SEC Media days rolls around. If you care to recall, at last year's event, the Gator players and Muschamp acted very cocky and didn't seem to realize that they had just had a 4-8 season. The most laughable moment was when Hargreaves proclaimed that Jeff Driskel was the best quarterback in the country. It was a stark contrast to Alabama, who, coming off an eleven win season, were humble. I said at the time that I thought the Gators were setting themselves up for failure. It's one thing to be confident, but it's another thing altogether to have false confidence. If that confidence is built upon a foundation of sand, it's very hard for an individual , or team, to recover when they find out that the confidence was just a pipe dream.
Contrary to popular belief, I don't think it's the system or some new plays that are the key to making UF a good team again. It's the mindset and culture that needs to be changed. We won't know if that's changed from the Spring. The coaches and players will say the same things that every team says; everything is great, blah, blah, blah. It's at an event like SEC Media days or playing a team with a different helmet on, that is outside the bubble of Gainesville, where we'll learn if things have really changed or things have reamined the same with only the names changed.

I don't really understand the talking. If I am whipping you surely everyone knows it. If I sack you it is very apparent. Talking seems to be foolish it just might make them mad enough to stop you next time. But then again I am not their age or their capability, or lack of them in some ways.

Because it wasn't their fault. Nobody could have won with those injuries, remember...

Perhaps they would not have won much more without the injuries either.

As to Roderick Johnson, I wonder if he and the offensive tackle with the same name at FSU talked to each other last year in Tallahassee. It'll be interesting to see how the two players careers compare. They will both be sophomores next season and are slated to start, though one will be a left tackle and the other a right. Who will be the better player?

You can bet that he(NRTCZE) or whatever he calls himself does, and he will start bringing them up in every post he makes until Ox runs him off......again.

Im fairly certain shultz and nrtcze are the same person. nrtze was too obnoxious to survive here so he changed his name and now hes being more subtle about it. But take a look at the writing style, its the same. A clown who attempts to pretend he's a gator (poorly) while insulting gators and slobbin on clown knob; has a passive agressive tone, writes in paraghaph/analytical (poorly again) styling and when he does "compliment" florida its backhanded or only as it compares to his glorious suckholes.

Clowns gonna clown :nole:

Definitely trolling. I keep reading it and thinkign of LOF, but it doesn't quite fit. I didn't see NRTCZE on here, though I see the replies to posted articles elsewhere....I can see the connection.

Dunno if anybody's shared this already or not. Have had company the past week and haven't been able to read all the posts like I usually do. If it's been shared, ignore it. If it's new, have a read. Doesn't mean a lot, but if the guys running behind our O-Line are confident in them, that says a lot to me.

"This is their first time seeing how they block the zone, all of that stuff," he said. "So I feel like those guys are gonna be really great. I’m not really worrying too much about them."

I think our starters will be a decent line. We just won't have much room to absorb any injuries.

Definitely the same. They both refer to UF as an outside observer would in many of their comments.

I used to read and post on the GS blogs before joining here and he trolled those endlessly as well as GC blogs. Same style, same backhanded compliments and ALWAYS bringing up the Clowns.
