Mullen / Grantham GONE!. Can you imagine if CBN had this team last year and played the best players???? That's a huge difference maker.

If Napier had any attention to detail as we've seen thus far.....should be good.

Damn, the kool aide is flowing, I cant believe some of you predicting such a blowout in UF's favor. Utah is a damn good team that is coached well and solid on the fundamentals. Kinda like what we are hoping Napier brings back. Since this is the season's first game, we only know past performances as our best predictor of performance for this first game. So we have on one hand a QB who played pretty damn good last season versus a QB who played sparingly with mixed results (yes, I give you that Mullen screwed the pooch with AR talent and utilization, but results are results). We have a defense that was stingy and hard-nosed in Utah versus a defense that was inept and couldn't tackle.

I see Utah pulling this out with a 3-7 point margin. Yes, the crowd will help, and yes, I believe that the Gators will play more fundamentally sound, but Im going to be conservative until I see it.

I have a 1969 vibe about this Gator team. Don't know why. Unranked and facing the number one team in the country, we ran the Cougs out of Florida Field. I think we lead from wire to wire and win going away by 18 points. 35-17 good guys. Go Gators!

I know Ox threatened me with a compulsory visit to his Mind camp for saying it will be a close game, but I still think it will be one but we win a low scoring game 24-20

Wait, there’s someone at my door, and they have on ghostbuster plasma packs….
They just broke in, I’m hiding in the closet.

Uh oh, they found me: tell my wife and son I lov………..

Gators control a relatively low scoring game due to ball control strategies for both teams. The game stays close but Florida never trails.

Florida - 27
Utah - 17

I like what I see. Keeping in mind that this is a total rebuild from the ground up. As a Gator fan for over 60 years, I have been conditioned to be hopeful but not optimistic.

If I were a betting man, Utah making the playoffs would be my play. Im as jaded as anyone for our boys but they have a legit team and were trying to patch the holes left by the last 2 asshats.
Are you freaking serious? This may be the dumbest sports take in the history of the Chatter. Playoffs? Dude, after this first game they are going to be dismissed by every pundit in America as a serious contender. They may be the most overrated team to start off in the top 10 I've ever seen.

For every point the Gators win by, you're getting 3 days off.

Gators 45
Utah 16

@Pablos Tunnel actually liked your ridiculous post, so he's getting the same deal - 3 days off for each point.

Utes: well established on offense and defense, schematically and with their coaching staff, but like all teams they have several new players to break in. They didn't do well against ranked-road teams and were 3-3 on all road games, I think. Then, they played an Ohio State team that was a shell of themselves with people out for their bowl game and lost. They'll also have to deal with the pain of traveling and the awe inspiring experience of The Swamp.

Gators: new everything! So no experience but the talent level is far above what the Utes will have. Home game equals home noise, home heat and home humidity. 5 star kickers.

What this game really comes down to is how well our offense does agains their defense and how well our defense does against their offense. Can't forget special teams and penalties either!!! :lol2:

AR will be the difference in this game and if he is turned loose, they won't have an answer for him.

UF 24 - 21

This will be a tough match up. BUT, there's only 1 team I love more than the YOOTS and that's UF. I've got degrees from both schools, but I loved UF first. Go Gata.

JFC, Uta lost to San Diego State, BYU and Oregon State. Their big claim to fame is beating lame duck Mario Cristobal twice.
If you look up "overrated" in a dictionary you'll see a picture of the Utes.
