In NorveLLLLLLLL’s defense (gonna have to bleach my fingers after typing that), their kicker shouldn’t even be in a Pop Warner game: he SUCKS.

He’s only made 50% of his kicks this year.

Wow....the ACC Huddle sux...

It really does. I have tried to watch it a few times out of curiosity and I just can’t sit through it. Not a single personality anywhere on the panel only slug after slug.

Sounds like our guy who is 5 for 9 on field goals this year.

Putting the game in Travis’ hands is just as much a wild card though. And you could see after his previous pick on the last drive that he was in one of those “me against the world” modes that Franks used to get into. QBs can’t act like that. That ending was inevitable once I saw that. Norvell completely botched it by not taking his chances on the ground and with a FG.

Same scenario with Bama last night.
Told my wife ain’t no way in hell Bama throws it on third down, my eyes got big when the QB dropped back and threw into double coverage in the end zone , luckily for bama the db dropped a sure interception.

Smack needs to debut as full time PK against the Corndogs.

That being said, **** piss and **** on FSU. They'll squeak into bowl eligibility if they luck out, and will get the Gasparilla Bowl experience.

Interestingly, I have seen a bit of Bama's last 2 games with Milroe manning the ship. Now the kid is very athletic but can't pass for shyt, but I think he has a future in football, but not as a QB. However, I think Bill OBrien is doing an awful job of utilizing him and Satan seems fed up as well. I believe this will be the last year of O'Brien and Satan together, even if O'Brien does not land an HC job on any level. Milroe is the tailor made "QB" for Cousin Eddie and I think that a guy like Kiffy could make Milroe more efficient, but the way Bama wants to play can't be done with Milroe at QB.

I hate to be that guy…. but that’s not loss of down and a turnover. It’s a penalty of yards and a replay the down.
First of all, anytime the clowns gets screwed by the acc refs, they deserve it. For eternity.

Secondly, is that punt beyond the LOS treated the same as a pass beyond the LOS? If so, the loss of down is correct. But idk for sure...

Legal and Illegal Kicks ARTICLE 10.

  • a. A legal scrimmage kick is a punt, drop kick or place kick made according to rule.
  • b. A return kick is an illegal kick and a live-ball foul that causes the ball to become dead (Rule 2-16-8).
    • PENALTY—For a return kick (live-ball foul): Five yards from the spot of the foul [S31].
  • c. A scrimmage kick made when the kicker’s entire body is beyond the neutral zone is an illegal kick and a live-ball foul that causes the ball to become dead.
    • PENALTY—For an illegal kick beyond the neutral zone (live-ball foul): Five yards from the previous spot and loss of down [S31 and S9].
  • d. No device or material may be used to mark the spot of a scrimmage place kick or elevate the ball. This is a live-ball foul at the snap.
    • PENALTY—Five yards from the previous spot [S19].

I watched it live. It was loss of down and NC State got possession at the spot he kicked it. A colossal blunder by the punter. (Like the announcers, I couldn’t figure out why he didn’t just keep on running. There was no one within 20-30 yards of him.). NC State ended up getting a field goal on their subsequent drive after gaining only a few yards.

The penalty gave NC State the ball at the FSU 13-yard line with 14:55. The FSU defense stood tall and force NC State into a 4th and 30, where the NC State kicker barely made a 53-yard field goal to trim the lead to 17-16 with 12:07 remaining.
