I don't see how anyone could possibly see a championship caliber coaching staff, given what we've witnessed over this first season.
I expected that team that beat Utah, every week with improvement along the line.
That team was focused, disciplined, ready to play with a pretty good game plan.
Yes, the defense was an issue but, Utah supposedly had a great offense.
We beat Utah then lay an egg against Kentucky, then another egg by barely beating USF.
Then we actually play decent against, what turns out to be a probable playoff team.
The season is lost because we don't have a Championship Quality coach.
Ask yourself this.....
Do you see any signs that Napier is going to run off a 44-9 record in the next 4 years???
Not going to happen people.
A great, championship caliber coach, doesn't stink up the SEC schedule with losses to Vanderbilt and Kentucky.
Where are the innovative game plans that take advantages of the defense and offense if the opposing teams? Where are the inspired performances by the team that wills itself over a superior opponent? Why does this team UNDERPERFORM, TO LESSER OPPONENTS???
I'm still on the train, only because of Recruiting. Well that, and I don't want to see Florida pull the plug on a guy after one damn season.
I'm still on the fence about the next two years, and a Harsin situation here though. It could happen, if Napier doesn't do some self reflection in the off season. The fans and boosters just aren't going to accept another season anything close to this one.
What good will and confidence Billy Napier built up this season, with his platitudes and coach speak, all washed off the chalkboard today.
This one will stink up the offices for quite some time.
