Well, here's hoping its a good hire. I'm kind of "meh" about it, just wish Foley would change his "cheap and potential" type hires but I guess he is who he is.

Some of you wanted a quick hire. You got your wish. Just Monday, Foley cautioned against expecting a quick move. "The key would be to have something in place I would think sometime in June," he said, adding, "I haven’t talked to one coach. I [haven’t] had time to do that."

Boom. In a matter 48 hours, 60 tops, he found his man. Need I remind what we got the last time he arrived at a warpspeed decision. I truly hope history doesn't repeat. White wasn't just on Foley's radar, he's generally regarded as a bright young star in college basketball circles. He recruits well and has significant Florida ties (he grew up just a few miles from here in Pinellas), and he'll likely rattle the cages, which honestly is what we need. Maybe lightning strikes twice. I sure hope.

Not sure I heard anyone say they wanted a quick hire...it was more about Foley saying "JUNE?" then anything else. That was kinda ridiculous waiting till then. Basketball is a sport you can turn pretty quickly. Welcome to the Swamp Coach White.

There's an underlying message. It's that a growing number of fans have become unhappy with Jeremy Foley for a variety of reasons, none the least of which is the football program has, for now, lost its identity. And when football is ailing, everything else suffers.
