You live in Pensacola, right? Migrated there as an adult from points north.

I went to middle and high school in Freeport, Defuniak Springs (Walton) and Crestview. Played ball at every little town from Live Oak to Pace.

I suspect you know very little of the panhandle life. Especially in the small inland and beach towns where the panhandle life exists.

But puff out your Yankee chest about your beach front property. There might be someone here impressed.
I live in Pace, and migrated from Georgia (and Kentucky before that), genius.

Buddy... let me see if I get this right without wasting the time of doing the actual, factual, chronology of events. Any errors or omissions are the fault of the author and are unintentional... this is for illustrative purposes only!
  1. You read my OP wrong (granted, I could have worded it better, but as an attorney, to which I attribute (possibly incorrectly) a certain level of intelligence/deductive reasoning) I would have thought that the reference to Colin Powell would clue one in as to what was being said).
  2. You then gave a hissy emote.
  3. You then went to another thread, found a post of mine, so you could call me dumb while I was correcting your incorrect interpretation of my response.
  4. Then went to said corrective response to you, where you apologized (because you're a "big enough man to do so").
  5. Then, said "big man" called me a chest puffer, who is a beach braggart living in Pensacola who migrated from "parts North" (you were right about that, GA and KY are "North" of here) who doesn't know anything about panhandle life, and specifically mentions Pace as a small panhandle town in said response without realizing that I have posted NUMEROUS times that I in fact live in Pace.
  6. When made aware of the fact that I live in Pace, you said I should write a ballad, and I replied that it was a great idea and that I would title it "Bless Altitude's Heart!" (as a carpetbagger, I think I used that in the proper context, please correct my dumb Yankee ass if I didn't!).
  7. Then YOU tell ME to "lighten up?"

 Honestly Altitude, and I probably should have put this paragraph first, but what would be the fun in that??!??!?!? I'm not upset about any of this, and genuinely like you as a poster and I'm sure I'd enjoy drinking/talking with you (and I do mean ALL of that, not just words, I can tell we have PUHLENTY in common). But this all happened because you misinterpreted (and again, in fairness to you, I see how you could have read it the way you did) a post, and first went on a hissy fit min-rampage, then got up on a high horse, then threw out schit about me that was completely incorrect and in a personally attacking way... tighten yer schit up man!

ProTip#8274: if yer gonna try to poke someone between the eyes, make sure you have yer schit straight!

We had this in the living room, and would spin the set around to the dining room around the corner for Sunday family dinners. Instead of the family of four sitting around the circle table, we'd all go to the far half so we could watch the weekl Disney program that Sunday night.

Life was at its finest when I got to see Marlin and Jim ‘rassle an anaconda and follow it up with Davy Crockett and George Russel fightin’ Injuns or Riverboat Pirates. The next day at school was all about re-enactments!

True story -
I dated Jim’s niece in high school. We camped on his property near Albany one weekend. Very cool experience with all of the artifacts in his house.

WTF?!!?!?!? I just always remember him in his study/library (or whatever) while Jim did all the work!
I think that was later on, when he was 90 instead of 80. Other great episodes were when they’d capture animals with the nets that were propelled by charges or caught a rhino/hippo with a noose on a pole from the hood of an old Land Rover going about 60!
