He's getting fired. Everyone knows it but our AD. The question is will he be getting fired now or 3-4 games into next season?

Throw the bank at Day and see what happens. The Bucknuts want him gone because he’s lost 3 straight to the booger eater. What’s the worst that could happen? We get embarrassed? :bwahaha:

Seriously. He even has ties to Florida (sort of).

I think by this time next season any of the remaining Napier supporters are going to feel like morons when we look back and realize he’s the worst coach we’ve had at UF. Ever.

For the record, if we think there's even a hint of uncertainty with Ryan Day and OSU, we'd be idiots to not blowing his phone up

Why wait for a hint of uncertainty? Ask him to name his price, go to the boosters and say "we can get Ryan Day if you cough up X million dollars", and then we get our coach.

Haven't you guys learned, you can't poach a high caliber coach from another P5 university. It's just not proper nor civilized.

As bad as Billy has been, we should have beat Utah, Mizz, and Arky. We could have and probably should have beat FSU. With a reasonably disciplined team all of those games are wins this year. Mullen absolutely left a talent gap for Billy, but it’s hard to think a decent coach wouldn’t have gone 9-3 this year.

Despite our problems, we could have had a very solid year with just a few tweaks:

-Solid OC
-Top 50 defense (we didn’t need to be world beaters on defense this year)
-Basic tackling
-Special teams that isn’t a disaster
-Decent o-line play
-Disciplined players

None of those things are too much to ask with this roster and all of them are absolutely within reach with a mid-tier coach. We don’t even have a mid tier coach..

I just don’t see how Billy improves next year with an absolutely brutal schedule. It’s hard to envision a solid year next year. I really want Billy to work out. I just don’t see a path to success. Maybe, and it’s a big maybe he can turn the corner with Major staff changes. I just don’t see it.

Basic tackling and decent O-Line play should be at the top. That would have added more wins the last few years, had we corrected or recruited for those.

Along with the major staff change, UF needs to get 4-5 very solid OL transfers. With exception of Barber and Waites, the returners are weak, slow and unatheletic. Then the Gators might have decent OL play.
