Oh that "RB2" is a direct swipe at Napier,
Of course it is. Which means mama and brother were both in his ear all year. I'm not sure he could have made things better even if he'd gotten the majority of carries. Then other teams would have schemed for it. OL was an issue for all our backs.

So just out of curiosity, when originally trying to get this top RB to come to UF and play for him, which detail do you think Napier led with: a) you’ll be a backup to a player you’re clearly better than, b) your OL will be bad all three years, c) you’ll be 11-14 after 2 seasons? Or do we think it was damn near 180 degrees opposite in all accounts? Are we really blaming any top flight kid who’s seen enough and feels his coaches have completely failed them? I’m not. I’ll blame the guy making 7 mil who sold him a completely different vision.

I said I don't blame him for leaving but you quoted this. We're all disappointed. I don't have a portal to go to, cept maybe t's mom's, and I don't feel sorry for poor widdle ETN who didn't get to pway as much as he wanted. He's going to make even more money now and probably be a team winner. I feel sorry some for us fans who keep dealing with this junk.

Ready for your head to explode? If he were the featured back, we’d have won more games and he’d be well on his way to the first round.
And, ready to have your mind blown, if he had learned how to block, he would have been the featured back, we would have won more games and he would be on his way to a first round pick. (maybe  ).

Some ppl have to convince themselves its just a few bad apples. Admitting that the tree is completely rotten is more than they can handle.

Is that you, Mullen? Talking about Dameon Pierce?

Ready to have your mind blown? If the head coach wasn't a stupid motherfuchser that run play action fake (and hence run blocking) on 85% of the pass plays, the running back wouldn't be taking on their best pass rushing defensive end alone most of the time.

I promise you he's going to be RB1 wherever he goes, and probably All American, and to a team that if it doesn't win the championship will be in contention.

My point stands: ETN is leaving because he wants to be RB1 so he goes high in the first round. It's motivated by money. He's not leaving because he wants to "win" from a team standpoint.

Not saying I blame him.

But he is quiting on his teammates.

The portal now allows it.

(I'm not defending BN, the AD, or the UAA)

The insiders that have spoke to to him from various different sites all say differently. That he was frustrated, had productive discussions with the staff as recent as Tuesday, but didn’t like the direction of things.

And I don’t see it as quitting on his team. I see running 3 straight vanilla run plays inside the Mizzou 20 because you feel a FG will win it as quitting on your team. I see keeping terrible assistants around because you personally like them as quitting in your team. And I see disregarding the success of, and sacrificing wins for, the current team in favor of implementing your own flawed vision of a process as quitting on your team.

I hate seeing him leave, but…..I’ll go ahead and be the contrarian….a factor in his not getting more PT was his pass pro sucked.

If his reason for leaving is he wants to be coached up on pass pro and our staff sucks at it, then who can blame him? But if he’s butt hurt he didn’t get more touches, it’ll be similar wherever he goes. And I have news for him about the NFL if he can’t successfully pick up a blitzer……

As someone else mentioned this isn't a "this guy or that guy" issue....it is systemic and has been since 2010.
The people in charge have let the flagship University with the most resources in the state sink to what will be no better than the 5th best team in the state next year....let that sink into the people that are pissed off at players leaving. If the people at the decision-making level care so little or are so incompetent then ask yourself, would you stay?
