Milroe is just a terrible QB.
He can run, and he's fast but damn.........At some point as a QB you have to read the defense and make decisions.
It is very difficult to win against a top flight D when deficient at QB. Bama is deficient at all levels on offense relative to their norm. Regarding Milroe he is not a good QB and never has been. He is an excellent straight ahead runner in space. When he tries to go laterally he has no wiggle. Most QB's do not have wiggle going laterally. If Milroe wants to play football later in life he needs to consider HB/TE, as Bill O'Brien told him. But the team made it farther than I would have thought.

You're absolutely right about his running ability, or should I say disability? He's an odd athlete.

As an aside, how many times did you see RB's used as primary pass targets and not as check downs or horizontal flairs? And how many ridiculous circular motions into the backfield did you see only to see that motion man end up 30 yards horizontal to the line of scrimmage as the check down receiver? I mention this b/c as much as Herbstreit is a tool you could see that Meatchicken especially had some good motion with a purpose and how it made the D shift, not sending some guy running in a semi circle that no one on D cared about.

Cousin Eddie would have given his left nut for a QB like Milroe. Nick Fitzgerald with straight ahead speed. Every play option on the infamous Cousin Eddie play spinner would have been the same "QB Power"

The committee obviously should've put Georgia in over Alabama. They were always the significantly better team of the two. I'm not even sure Michigan belonged in there really, the 2 play offense they ran all night looked like trash. This is the #1 seed?

Even Urban Meyer cringed looking at the demise of Saban tonight, wondering to himself, "how the phuck can you lose to Jim Harbaugh?"

Agree that UGly is the best team still but you cannot deny Bama being in after beating them and winning the SEC. But that Bama loss to Texas really screwed it up for the committee. But I may be the only person who thinks Meatchicken is at worst the 2nd best team in the country this season behind possibly only UGly. Meatchicken is good on the D Line and did not give up one over the top throw by Bama, which is basically the Bama passing game.

The committee could have denied Bama though because they never looked like a top 4 team at any point this season. Beating a banged up UGly team riding a million game winning streak couldn't erase the fact that Alabama was really a 7 or 8 win caliber, quarterbackless team, insanely lucky to have only one loss.

I was actually expecting Michigan to drop them by 20+ points tonight, but they played scared and ultra conservative and nearly lost because of it.

Michigan’s D was very good. STs were why it even went to OT where Mich outclassed Bama anyway.

That was some serious BULLSHYT that went on in the last 45 seconds of the Washington/Texas game. So glad Texas didn’t worm their way in to a victory that they didn’t deserve with that shyt with the clock.

The last thing we needed was those entitled schidt stompers marching into the joint like they own it after winning a national title or worse yet, beating Bama twice to do it. Thank God none of that can happen now.

They'll still think they own it, but we can all laugh at it now.
