That's me in the Orange shirt. It was a big prize. They flew my brother & wife from Va., I chose to drive since ground transportation was only from airport to hotel and I didn't care to fly DAB-CLT-MIA. We had 2 days of VIP treatment. 3 nights hotel, Champions Club, spending money, open bar, endless buffet, brunch, lunch, dinner (filet mignon), dessert, interview w/ Jamie Little, pre race festivities stage intro, met the track Prez, saw Richard Petty & Dale Inman and the 1979 Daytona 500 winning car. That was my first Daytona 500. My brother was with me then too. Giant blast from the past.
It was so last minute, last second notice. Started with a weird instagram message late Wed. night. Thurs was ALL day messages, emails, texts, phone calls, me searching the sources to make sure it wasn't a scam, finally got credentials emailed Friday morning from Nascar, and then I knew it was legit. I took a friend w/ me and just watched the race replay showing her favorite driver Joey Logano signing her shirt during driver intros. What a weekend.
What a cool experience for you! NASCAR is not my thing personally but I realize this is your world. How did you register for the drawing?View attachment 75578

Wild story. I was browsing Instagram a month ago, this Sponsored post with Jamie Little says 'follow and comment' this page/post. Very unexpected last minute notice. Had to scramble to see who else could go and get to an airport. They tried to get me a free car rental but Hurricanes wiped them out. The icing on the cake is supposed to be a $3k check to defray prize taxes. Looking forward to that. What a cool experience for you! NASCAR is not my thing personally but I realize this is your world. I don't. They will "keep" better there than dry storage.CDGator said:If it were me I wouldn't pull at 100 onions at a time. I dig up my potatoes almost as needed until the frost comes.
