B&G, I did read the article and it isn't even REMOTELY close to the same situation. Did you read it? And you really think we're comparing apples to apples? More like milk to ducks.
Well, of course it is not exactly the same. And I do believe that Florida is not utilizing the grayshirt process at this time. But they have offered it at least twice that I can easily find with a Google search, and that leads me to believe that they actually used it on occasion. I don't see it as a big deal, as long as the player knows what he is getting into. After all, only so many scholarships are available. Some boys might be glad to get the opportunity to play, even if they have to wait a year. I know a walk-on that dresses out for Alabama now with no scholarship at all. He is just happy to possibly get to play someday.

There's an analogy I read somewhere eons ago that has to do with pigs, and mud, and somebody liking it. It isn't me, but I think it applies here.
Well, he said I would be angry if it was my son, but the boy's father is clearly not angry, so what is the problem?

Think of it this way....I'm sure most of you can relate. You're an average looking dude and you're at a bar and it's early. You've got a good rap going with a solid 8, which is probably way to high for most of you booger eating morons ,:lmao2:but anyway as the night goes on you start to notice she is giving a lot of rap to a few dudes that arrived later and pulled up in much better rides than your sh!tbox Nissan Sentra....Do you average looking, and I'm being generous here, guys wait until last call holding out hope for the 8, or does your butt ugly ass start opening up lines of communication with something that is more likely to happen?

But he was offered.

Here's where the "pigs and mud" analogy comes into play, full force.

Brissett was basically offered to walk-on. You can call it whatever freaking color-shirt you want to but Urbs offered him to walk-on; he did not offer him a scholarship and then later rescind the offer, he was never offered a scholarship by Urbs. Totally, completely, different situation and I don't know how else to explain it so I will no longer try.

I'll probably wake up tomorrow to see the Bama is claiming this as another National Title.

The true story reveals UF's high-ethics in that even when Meyer (bound by UF ethics)
honestly offered a greyshirt (at the outset) even knowing Brissett had a full scholly
offered by rival UM. Then new UF coaches Muschamp & Weis honorably offered
Brissett that full scholly. Brissett never would have passed on a full scholly to UM
if only a greyshirt awaited him at UF. There is a timeline and a process. The UF
process never involved offering a grand-prize, then pulling it out and sliding forth
a boobie-prize.... like Bama.

No. You just reminded me of a bad situation I got into....at least once.

I stay after the 8 no matter what competition shows up. You have to learn how to beat the big boys if you want to be a big boy. Only time I give up, is if a 9-10 shows serious interest.

Women usually date down a notch and marry down at least two. First they don't want to be around anyone better looking than them and second they don't want anyone better looking than them going for their man.

Try this test. Look at yourself in the mirror, then look at your wife, then look at yourself again, then back at your wife. See what I mean?
