Sergio!

Let's hear it for the old guys!
Westwood is -3 (still has 9+ holes to play for round 2)
Furyk is -1
Z. Johnson is -1 (still has 9+ holes to play for round 2)
Day is +5 and needed a 69 yesterday (looks like he'll make the cut)

A lot of golf still to play to finish round 2 and 3 today, weather permitting.

That course has more moods than a jilted Latino stripper on hormones.

Freddy Couples was always my favorite. Always root for Gators of course.
But I really thought Tiger was going to win this one. Too bad he didn't enter.

I loved Corey Pavin! This is why I like you dcab!

I won an office pool for the British Open one year with him. We picked four players and the lowest total aggregate score wins. If a player missed the cut, we doubled their score for the first two days to get a four day score assuming they were bad rounds and it would be punitive.

The first two days were very un-British Open like, bright and sunny with no wind. Corey scored well but everyone had low scores in the 60's and low 70's and he missed the cut. The last two days it was really bad weather and scores went up into the 80's and higher. I got to double Corey's first two days of something like 72-73. It basically gave me about 15 strokes over everyone else.

To make my win sweeter, one of the guys in the pool was an pompous prick who was sure he knew more about golf than everyone else and knew he was going to win. It killed him to give me his part of the pool. When it came time to pay up he gave me all pennies and nickles, a paper clip and some pocket lint. After that I would throw a penny in his office and say "A penny for your thoughts". Probably 15 years later, he still gets red in the face when I do that.

Uh oh - DJ has a share of the lead - this is getting good.
After watching his 380 yd drive right down the middle on the opening hole, I've been pulling for DJ.

Day making a move. This is getting interesting.

As I type, DJ just hit another bomb on the tee on the 618 yd par 5.

What's up with the possible penalty for DJ?

What's up with the possible penalty for DJ?

Officials are going to review it after the round... could be a one stroke penalty.
But the head official already 'blessed' it ...however he didn't have access to the replay.

...oh the drama - the announcers are milking this one
