Hearing that an official offer has been made to Jimmy Sexton and the offer is $7.5 million a year. Wow!!!! If he turns that down he's dumber than he sounds!

If Jimbo leaves then it is a must win. We could steal the state back in one fell swoop. Jimbo leaves and we beat them in Tally. If you can't bring in recruits with that then you probably never will.

Jimbo to lsu
Fedora to fsu
Herman to texas
Fleck to north Carolina

As the replacement for Mac if Mac fails in next 2 years, that PJ Fleck seems valid. He's only 36.
He's a hard-nose, as he made headlines when he became HC of Western Michigan and right off
he rescinded all sholarships a few weeks before signing day. First season he went 1-11, then brought
in the top recruiting class for his conference (MAC). Now he's going 10-0 so far and has brought in
4 straight top recruiting classes in the MAC.?? Bears watching. (& no I didn't compare him to Bear Bryant)

Zuanbreaker (spelling) was demoted in 2004. But of the games I've watched either at Southern Miss or UNC, they have been effective. The only game that was a headscratcher was the first game last season against Spurrier, the offense didn't make any sense. But he cleaned it up later in the season.

Yep, what I've seen from a couple of unc games is a pretty solid offense. It's the acc, but the selection of plays indicates a solid scheme.

That or we'll soon read the noles are reupping Dumbo for 7.5MM and an extended term.
They don't have that kind of money at FSU. Only way they can pay $7.5 is if Rick Scott funnels tax payer money to FSU...we'll see what happens by next Tuesday whether he's staying or not.

Interesting. I can't imagine him staying without some bump in pay, so maybe he gone....

Thanks for the info, as always.

To get Jimbore extra pay FSU could cut him in on their black market lobster trade.

I like fleck too. I wanna see him put together a few more solid seasons before I'd hire him here. But think he could be the next super star headcoach.

I remember a clown school grad bytching about UFs SEC contract alone being more money than the entire athletic budgets of Clowntown, coCaines, and some other school, maybe USF. Since the SEC money is generally split equally (half of bowl included) probably every SEC team has that advantage. If VANDI wanted, they could afford any coach in the country.

ACC teams cannot. That's why.

7.5 mil could be just the beginning. Did you ever think you'd see small market baseball teams giving 30 year olds a 200 mil contract? (Thinking Votto and others here.) I didn't either. Who knows how far it could go? Gators aren't the only ones that think it's our time to get back on top and Bammer isn't going easily.

Florida was 22nd in the country in total offense in 2004, I'd take that now with Fedora.

Jimbo isn't going anywhere, Saban will never retire, he's after the bear.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. Zaunbrecher got demoted in 2004. Fedora then became OC for the last year. He was not co-offensive coordinator before that. He was WR and RB coach.

And you are wrong about the bubble screens in 04. That was also a Zaunbrecher thing. Of course, those worked when Zaunbrecher had Randy Moss running them against IAA defenses.

I stand corrected, law. I remember Fedora had come in as an OC from another school, so maybe that's part of what confused me. I don't remember how good 2004 was offensively, but I'll take your word for it.
