The NCAA describes the Academic Progress Rate as ‘a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete, each term.’ The multi-year rates cover a four-year period for the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years.
These are the APR scores for every football program in the SEC, in order from highest to lowest.
South Carolina: Will Muschamp will receive a $75,000 bonus for South Carolina’s multi-year APR of 970, according to USA Today.
Arkansas: Bret Bielema will receive a $50,000 bonus for Arkansas’ multi-year APR of 966, according to USA Today.
Texas A&M: Kevin Sumlin will receive a $50,000 bonus, as well as a $25,000 bonus for the staff pool, because of the football team’s single-year APR of 971, according to USA Today.
Tennessee: Butch Jones will receive a $100,000 bonus for Tennessee’s single-year APR of 978, according to USA Today.
