I understand the impulse to do that, but kicking off your best players still hurts the program. What we need to do is implement a program in place so that these types of things don't happen in the first place. Whether its a mentoring/guidance program or at least something to hold the players accountable so that they dont mess up to begin with. Its probably not realistic but its better than nothing.
How bout the AD call Mac and tell him to get his team under control or he's fired. Whatever Mac's telling these kids it ain't working. It all starts with him.If I was Mac, I'd probably call the AD and inform him that we're cancelling the 2017 season due to lack of interest from the players. Apparently they'd rather do anything BUT play football this year.
So you are calling SOS a pussy? Ok Urban.

There is an open criminal investigation now.

Calling any coach who wants to play cupcakes a pussy...
Also in case you haven't noticed in the era of the playoff, playing cupcakes hurts you.
Everyone plays two or three cupcakes, if you haven't noticed. In UF's case it is a matter of when on the schedule you play them. Given that student discipline is correctly handled by the university not the coach, playing an opening game cupcake tends to level the playing field against teams that let players get away with more.
You sound like a gigantic pussy, jsyk...
Clemson, Bama, FSU, etc...they all play big time games and in game 1 and handle it fine. Maybe the issue is we have 0 leadership
