I feel like everyone on here would rather Mullen fail and be right then have him be successful here.

That’s the other thing here. Maybe he’ll hire a good staff? Maybe with actual talent instead of the **** he had at MSU he can do some work. I’m not betting on it, but it’s entirely possible.

If we’re gonna pay him $7m, then he’ll have about $400 to hire assistants with.

Not me. This is about Gator football, not Mullen, per se. I am FURIOUS that UF has not been able to get a quality, championship-winning coach since when, 2009? TWO consecutive coaching failures, with an apparent third one about to be announced?!! With our financial and recruiting resources?!! And our location?!! (Think warm weather; the quality of life in Gainesville; no state income tax; proximity to major cities such as Atlanta and Miami; proximity to world-class beaches; etc.) Don't forget that we are the flagship university in the 3rd or 4th most populous state in the country, and the 10th-rated public university in the country! And, we're a member of the SEC, the premier football conference in the country. We also have a history of winning championships - several SEC championships and 3 NCs. We have a couple of Heisman Trophy winners, too. Not to mention finanacial resources - LOTS and LOTS of money. What kind of incompetent idiot(s) couldn't bring a championship coach to our football program?!! I don't want Mullen to fail. I'd love to see him do a complete about-face and start winning against ranked teams and bring significant championships to Gainesville, but his track record says that ain't happenin". F*ck Foley, f*ck Fuchs, f*ck Stricklin.

Just sayong. Go Gators. Thanks for the opportunity to vent.

Look, dumbass. Nobody said this is a good hire. I don’t like it. It’s clearly making you emotional. But if it happens there’s nothing you can do to change it. So at that point we have no choice but to hope it works.

Have you read anything I’ve posted? I never said i wanted him. What I was saying is that a recruit that de committed last night is pumped that Mullen’s name is being thrown around. It doesn’t matter if you or I think he can recruit. It matters what the players think. And apparently they like him.
