1983, BA in Economics. Returned in 1985-87 and ran through the accounting curriculum on a post-bacc basis to prep for the CPA exam.
Best football memory: had season tickets 1990-2013 so this is tough.
1982 Florida beats USC as Wilber Marshall destroys All American and future pro bowl OL Don Mosebar on his way to destroying Sean Salisbury and “student body right”. Felt like UF had arrived on the big stage in a big way, and the South End Zone had been bowled in, creating the acoustics that would make the Swamp the loudest stadium in football.
Best G’ville memory
The summer of 1983 my best friends shared a garage apartment behind Norman. I had one class to graduate in August & worked but low stress. We’d hang out at University Pub which was within crawling distance and I could crash on their couch if I had to. I was dating a cute girl and we basically went wherever The Riff were playing - Dub’s, Old College Inn, Islands, fraternities, etc. and danced all night. (Bill Perry from Hyde & Zeke’s almost always there too.) That was one great summer.
