Does Emmitt Smith's photo of him wearing UGA gear tarnish how you see him?

It’s not Florida and I will never love their football team like UF but at the end of the day I will always support him.
Of course you'll support him. Does that mean you'll dress up in Georgia Tech gear and pose for photos?

He could have done everything for his kid without actually dressing up that way.
Agreed. At the same time, maybe he made an agreement with his son to not be biased, to be open-minded, and to wear the gear of the teams he’s visiting.

He’s still a Gator, and I’m sure he felt gross and still hates UGA. But, he’s being a good father at the moment.

Emmitt donning all that gear and then allowing himself to be photographed that way is beyond belief. He'll forever be tarnished.

Can you imagine Spurrier doing something like that?

Well SOS wore plenty of South Carolina gear, sure it is somewhat different, but his son I bet was on a visit.

Emmitt didnt want to play in the fun and gun either. Could have been a champion.

It isnt the first bad decision he has made.

Fellas, South Carolina or Georgia Tech isn't Georgia, FSU, or UT. Those are the 3 schools you NEVER represent under any circumstances, even if it means life or death.

There's simply no way to gloss this over. You can't justify it for recruitment. Father and son are sellers, not buyers. Georgia made an offer and so did Florida. Does this mean they flip on the Gator gear today?

And what about Arkansas and Boston College? Don't they deserve some free pub?

Gag me with a ski pole.

In terms of optics, this pic couldn't be any worse. Emmitt has made a decision he'll regret the rest of his life.

In an interview while at USC, Spurrier said (paraphrasing) that he was loyal to whoever was signing his paycheck. I understood that and of course he could not wear Gator gear while walking the sidelines for USC. But I was so glad when he left USC and came back to UF and was once again seen wearing the O&B. Somehow I don't think Emmitt got a big thrill wearing those UGly colors and standing next to that misshapen troll.

You could maybe do it as a subterfuge, ie wear Ugly gear to gain access then piss on the buffet, crap on Kurby's desk or something.

Spurrier NEVER would have taken a job at UT, FSU, or UGA. NEVER.

Emmitt doesn't have the loyalty to the school that the Heisman winners do, for example. Hell, he was pissed when he left because Spurrier didn't beg him to stay.

FACT. South Carolina was as benign and close to home as he could get. He was careful to not appear offensive over being snubbed by his alma mater.

The flipside is Id never want to see Herschel Walker (any of them), Booby Bowden or and Dwag or Null in Gator gear.

That would really piss me off.
