Quote? Never said either was GOD.
Criticized Mac.
First suggestion of firing was game one year 3. As I have said I give them a fair chance to recruit their players and get in their system. Mac improved the UF ranking in both of his first two years and won his division both years. First new SEC coach to ever do that.At least not after Meatchicken.
Only after Meatchicken, amirite?
Thanks for confirming.First suggestion of firing was game one year 3. As I have said I give them a fair chance to recruit their players and get in their system. Mac improved the UF ranking in both of his first two years and won his division.
When did you first say we should fire him? FYI I never said Mac was a GOD before or after Michigan. Thanks for confirming.
After the complete disaster of a 2nd half performance against UT in 2016. The writing was on the wall. Strike 2 was the pathetic performance at Arkansas. I saw that coming a mile away. He should have been left on the tarmac in DFW.When did you first say we should fire him? FYI I never said Mac was a GOD before or after Michigan.

By the end of year 1 it was obvious.
In that same thread they practically brag about running off Itraz while saying he called it on Mac all along and how much football intelligence he had. They also said anything negative about the coach is bad for the program and recruits read these boards. You know, the usual pumper propaganda. I would argue that backing a bad coach past his expiration date is very bad for the program.
Can’t argue with that, and Muschamp was given 1 year too many. Mac? He clearly sucked, but with those 2 damn “east titles” it would have been near impossible to run him off after 2 years, especially given the train wreck he inherited from Chump. SS ran him off at his earliest opportunity.
Now, back to your point on the “expiration date”....how in hell does that apply to Dan Mullen?
No one is saying that Mullen is past his expiration date, and he should see year three as long as something incredibly stupid doesn't happen. But in year three we should know if we are coach shopping again in December, or if he is a guy that can get us back to elite level. The problem with Mullen is that through he is better than the last two hirers. He doesn't have a history of being an elite coach or an good recruiter. He very well might be a good coach to very good coach, but nothing that says elite. The problem with that is Spurrier changed the culture not only of the program but of the fanbase. Good is no longer good enough.
