According to my calculations we averaged 43.6 points per game in 08. 611 points in 14 games. We only averaged 36 a game in ‘08? Doesn’t sound right

When do we as fans stop talking about the Coaches that didn't want us and simply start supporting the Coach that chose to be a Gator?
Not to mention, Dan is one helluva game-day Coach.
Yeah, but this shows we’re 37 in scoring offense. That’s a helluva big improvement over the past decade. And yet....
We're 86th in total offense. Hey...we're north of where we've been the last 8 years.

Last 5 Q4 Scoring:How many years has it been since we felt we could actually make a drive and score points when we needed to?
577 total yards
284 passing
292 rushing
92 plays
31 first downs
13/19 on 3rd down
3/3 on 4th down

You forgot time of possession and the midline.
Novel, unless your name is Spurrier, Meyer, or Saban, or unless you think the way those guys do.It seemed to me that Champ and Butters never even had an interest in being competitive in games. Mullen clearly shows he wants to be competitive to win.... a novel concept.
Your defeatist post in the chat box made vomit rise up in my throat.By the way, it was never my intention to claim that our Gators have a great offense. Far from it - still a long way to go. However, I've been astounded to see us come up with long, sustaining drives when we needed points this season, and especially the last couple of weeks.
For example, when we went down 19-14 to LSU, if this is a Chimp or Butters team, that game is over right there. We had ZERO chance at responding with a touchdown. Since I have battered-wife syndrome like so many others, I made the assumption that the game was over. It was flat-out shocking to see us roll right down the field and respond like a real offense. Darn near brought a tear to my eye.
That tends to happen to me as well when I read your posts lauding all the new and wonderful football "safety" rules.Your defeatist post in the chat box made vomit rise up in my throat.
Sorry if we aren't getting enough players killed to keep you entertained. That tends to happen to me as well when I read your posts lauding all the new and wonderful football "safety" rules.
It's easy to do!You forgot time of possession and the midline.

The number might not be what we want, but you can look at this team and see the difference from the last 8 years. We actually look like a real team again. And yet....
