It really can't be under-stated how much of a must-win this is for Mullen. f$u has been garbage all season long and has been destroyed by any competent coach. I recognize Florida doesn't have the same talent as Clemson or Notre Dame--but we're certainly no worse than NC State, VTech, or Syracuse.

This is where Mullen earns his paycheck: if he can't beat a hated rival when they are suffering a historically bad season, then it's going to be a looong offseason for him to rebuild that damage.

What position, exactly, will Mullen be playing?

I don't really buy this. Mullen was right there with Meyer for all those years, seeing how to treat rivalries. I don't think he's coaching them that's it just another game.

I hope not because that will get his ass fired. I was not happy with the UGA prep. This every game is the same BS. Just because he was here with Meyer doesn't mean jack. They are nothing alike in any way whatsoever. I have suspicions...let's hope I'm wrong. If we come out uninspired and lackadaisical you can fire him before he gets back to GVille. But so far, he's nothing like Meyer when it comes to rivalries.

We shouldn’t be in position to lose on a last play. We should move the ball consistently and score. They aren’t conditioned well, they aren’t developed well, they go out and wing it. Any competent coach has shut them down. I expect the same Saturday

Exactly. Add to that the fact that WT is an enormous goober, and there is no way we SHOULD lose this game. Of course all that means nothing if we play down to their level. They do after all seem to have better overall talent and greater depth, or so say the recruiting services anyway. But everything you mentioned is valid and seems to point to a likely win for UF. Like others however, I'm conceding a 7-10 point boost for the criminoles from the refs as being automatic. We really will have to pretty much blow them out to win. Fortunately, I think we are capable of doing it if FF plays "averagely" well.
