All the ingredients were present for some very intriguing non-playoff bowl matchups. Michigan-LSU. UCF-Florida.
And we get this. Again.
I gotta say it, folks: I love my Wolverine football with a passion, but right now, I have exactly ZERO interest in this game.

Are you ****ing serious? You think people are confusing Florida State for Florida?? Do you wanna tell me who Michigan played in the season opener last year? That might help clear up your confusion on the fact that we HAVE PLAYED FLORIDA 3 TIMES IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS

Suffering through 3 hours of stultifying garbage to hear that we're playing a team I have no desire to ever play again, in a NY6 bowl game that isn't played on NY day, was about as much fun as being poked in the eye with a stick. Yeah, it will be great if we can get that 10th win, and finally beating the khaki creep would be nice as well. But with all the knob polishing that went on about UCF this, and Georgia that, they could have at least taken a moment to acknowledge the job DM did this year and what a win against Meatchicken could mean for the program.
But no, all those asshats (including JP) could do was make wisecracks about a 10-6 snooze fest, totally ignoring the significant improvement on O made during DM's first year. I have come to truly hate ESPN, and today's BSPN presentation is just one more reason to do so. Incidentally, while I'm not counting on a win by any means, the defeatist attitude essayed by swampie is just the "bad little donkey" playing the negative side of the street again because there has simply been too much good news in the last few weeks. We'll be a 6-7 point dog at most, and we've already played better teams than UM without the dire consequences described above. F UM and the booger eater too. GO GATORS!

Not ideal, but when as the last time our bowl opponent was?
I really feel that’s a big part of why our overall bowl record is nothing to brag about. Seems like we always get placed with a team in the next bracket up. We haven’t been in the playoff discussion since before uga. And even then we were an afterthought. Michigan was in it until a week ago.
I’d just love to look forward to a bowl game that I know we’ll dominate, and I can’t remember the last time I felt that. And as was said, we’ve been in a rut with the same bowl opponents over and over. We actually have a measure of rivalry with a team, with which we shouldn’t, all from being put into meaningless bowl games seemingly every year.
