I hate to say it but the box does take away posts. All the gameday posts now go in the box. I bet tuat would double your posts.

Have a variety of entertaining posters that make me laugh daily, as well as a some very knowledgeable posters that provide very good info. Well, the good news is that we get "the best of twitter" here anyway, without having to read through a million nonsense posts.

We'll eventually get our million, I'm not worried about it. The chatbox isn't going anywhere, especially on game days.

It cuts the gameday posts down significantly. Not sure if it has any effect on normal days.

Those guys used to post like 5-10 times what I did when they posted that daytime chatbox stuff in the lounge.

There's certainly an argument that it keeps some people hanging around more than they would if it wasn't there, which leads to more pageviews, etc.

As for the posts, I only think the chatbox significantly effects game threads. 95% of the crap posted in there is just a stream of consciousness that I don't think most people would post, even in the Lounge.

So do they count? If so my plan to pad with unusual threads can be eliminated. Not that I would not enjoy doing it, but if it does not have value why bother?
