Please, he was the primary pushing the "June will be HUGE" bs last year. I guess it was huge, we lost several recruits.. You just misinterpret his stuff most of the time
Where did you get he was down? I thought he was being personally targeted by Torrian Gray?
Gray has been putting DBs in the NFL since his VaTech days. He is a known and trusted commodity to HS coaches.Looks like he was targeted by Gray.
They are clearly happy with his rehab or they wouldnt offer. He tore his ACL in December in the Texas state HS playoffs.
The "insider" was obviously wrong.(this was posted on another board last week - some "insider"

No, the insider posted the CB "board" and Helm's name was 8th out of 9. I suppose they took the first commit they got. Fred Davis is likely going Clemson, Robinson is committed to Alabama, and a few others are leaning elsewhere. So he was realistically higher on the "board". You know how this works - there's a wish list and then there's reality.
Edit: we're in good shape w/ Pouncey...but also Kendall Dennis & Arian Smith. We're pushing hard to flip Robinson as well. We could get 2 of those 4...but we also need 2 safeties.
That's one big strong mofo who can apparently move pretty well for his gigantic size. He seems like he might be the seventh or even sixth man on the OL.
Was Jalapeno our last true freshman to start game 1?
The same goes for underthrown passes, with Helm typically stopping on a dime, adjusting and then getting vertical. Helm recorded three interceptions in 2018, but that number could have been higher as well. However, the main objective is to prevent a completed pass, and more often than not, Helm came out on the winning side of those battles.
I guess my point is this, if you are a kid that they take when #1 and #2 are committed (or strong lean) elsewhere, you are not #8 you are number #3, although there may be several #3a #3b #3c etc.
As for safeties, at this point you wonder if it's not a failure to take safeties, it is the plan. Just take a bunch of CBs and move some to safety?
I don't know what the plan is at DT or ILB. I'm beginning to think there is no plan and they are just going to wing it or Choker is planning on having another job.
Player rankings do have a logic to them. I'm not one of those that say stars don't matter. They do. However, I'll take a long, fast, athletic corner like Helm (ranked 19th) over 5'10 or 5'11 guys (Luke Hill, Clark Phillips ranked 4th and 5th) . With the big receivers nowadays, corners under 6ft are at a huge disadvantage. Plus, it seems his rankings dipped after he got hurt. If he doesn't get injured, it's possible he climbs higher. Instead of being 300, he's 200. Just a thought.
