Per my opinion . These kids are drawn to the big programs and coaches like Cal. If Blackshear is a winner he will want to test himself with the best. We are not at UK's elite level and while he could end up at UF, my view is that UK and Calipari have the advantage.

Being wrong on this one will make me happy.

If Blackshear's main goal is the NBA, I think he goes Kintuckie with the hope Cal will get him there. However, if the NBA won't give him a sniff now, it isn't happening after just one season with Cal. He isn't a miracle worker.

Our roster for this next year stacks up favorably with UK’s though and if we land Blackshear I’d argue we have a better starting 5

With UK getting almost all their big men back plus their recruits, its unlikely Blackshear will go there. Florida and Texas A&M are the favorites from what I have heard...with going overseas apparently an option still

This has been my thinking. Even starting, he will still be in a rotation getting only 15-20 mpg. He's used to 25-30 mpg. But, Cal is a great salesman.

This makes the most sense for him. I just can't see another year in college doing him much good when it comes to his draft status.

What quality big man in his right mind isn't chomping at the bit to play for that famous big man coach, Mike "The Midget PG" White?

Everywhere I've read, it's a UF Kentucky battle. For all you guys thinking that blackshear would get less minutes at Kentucky, you're tripping. Calipari would give any of em their full transfer papers in a minute if he could get blackshear.

Why in the world would someone pull their name out of the draft to go overseas? I think your source needs to check into AA.

He's already on record saying he is considering going overseas. He said so after pulling out of the draft. His dad played overseas. Why wouldn't he?

Why wouldn't he play in the summer league? That's where alot of Europe scouts look anyhow. Just makes zero sense. Staying in the draft doesn't mean you have to rule out over seas.

I think the lack of interest caught him off guard, throwing him for a loop Like a lot of players, he has a higher opinion of his game than nba scouts do. Removing his name gives him the option of playing one more year and trying to improve his stock.

Ha Ha, Good one. Maybe we get Coach Cal's son Brad to add to our class of guards. To paraphrase an old saying by the late Duchess of Windsor, "you can never be too thin too rich, or have too many point guards".

Vastly will lower 3-point %s, making coaching the inside game even more essential to scoring. Recruiting tall inside players now becomes everything. Do we have an HC who makes our UF program a magnet to 6'11'+ players.

All this while FSU has 3 7-footers getting ready to dominate inside on rebounds, on 67% in-close shooting, on shot blocks, on dunks, etc.etc. Are we sitting on deterioration, instead of going after reaching the heights? No time left, no time for back-sliding or stagnating.
