Crazy that this seems to be the case. 25 Is the number I keep seeing. I think I have heard 10 names that are likely to commit these past two weeks.

We're sitting at 9 blue chippers right now and 9 fluff. If we go 12 and 12, that will be another Butterish class, in the mid teens.

We just lost five from the last class and we will lose probably that many again from transfers/ injuries/ whatevers. We need to take more like 32.

However, we are not waiting til the end and taking a bunch of desperation leftovers. I suspect the final rating wont be great but it will still likely be a better class than last year. Hopefully we will never see a class w five drops again.

Im just not sure we will ever land elite classes again. Tinerc has been waiting for 20 years.

Yep that is what I have been mulling over the last few days. UF has 18 commitments now. Maybe one or two bail.

Still it is hard to see UF taking many more than 10 more. I would think 7ish is more likely. Two maybe 3 will be held to try to get Bowman, Williams and Smith. I would think that would leave very few guys out there UF would take right now, though I know the rule of recruiting is take them all there the numbers always work out.

The only way to sign 22 + 22 + 22 + 22 + 22 = 110 with an 85 player limit is for a number of players (about 10) to leave due to entering the NFL early, injury DQ, transfer etc every year.

Because the NLOI rules penalize players a lot if they transfer before their first spring practice, the move towards early entry has led to more Frosh transferring earlier because they first thing they do it go through spring practice. (Perhaps the rule should be changed to a heavier penalty if a player transfers before their first spring practice after their first season with a program.) So unless UF has lost way more than 10 early this year, there is no cause to fret, but of course you will.
